TVP Federation & Thames Valley Group Insurance Trust in partnership with Claire Lindley from North Bicester Physiotherapy Clinic are launching a new provision of Free Physio Services to our Police Federation members, Civilian and Retired members of the Group Insurance Trust.
The service will be run from the medical suite at TVP Federation HQ, 76 WELLINGTON STREET, THAME, OX9 3BN
Claire Lindley said: “I am a Chartered Physiotherapist. I have been qualified for 30 years and spent most of my time working with patients with Musculoskeletal injuries. I currently run a private practice in Bicester. I spent 16 years of my career working with Thames Valley Police providing a physio service predominantly for police officers injured on duty. During this time, I developed the service with the aim of getting officers back to full duty as quickly as possible. I observed many areas of policing including the dog section, firearms officers, and riot training at Heyford. I worked closely with Occupational Health to ensure officers and staff got the best outcomes for their treatment.
I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Thames Valley Police Federation to provide a Musculoskeletal physiotherapy service. The aim of the service will be to provide an initial assessment to triage the requirements of the individual, and to provide physiotherapy treatment if required. The service will be aimed at individuals who are struggling with injuries that are impacting their quality of life, and their ability to carry out their full work duties.”
Any subscribing member of the Police Federation and or the Group Insurance Trust.
For treatment of acute injuries affecting quality of life or ability to work. Not for chronic ongoing injuries and not for maintenance treatment.
No, we will offer you Physio whether you sustained the injury on or off duty.
Physio Clinic runs one day per week and will provide 7 appointments that people can book.
All bookings are to be made online via the link on this page. Upon making your booking you will receive an email and text message with further details. You must ensure that all forms are filled out prior to your appointment.
Each client can have up to 6 funded sessions.
There is no cost for the services at all you, the cost is covered by TVP Federation and the TVP Group Insurance Trust, you just need to get yourself to the facility in Thame. There will be a charge for no show appointments unless cancelled at least 24hrs prior to session.
